RUCC offers opportunities that include Chancel Choir, Intergenerational Choir, Children’s Choir, Our Own Concert Venues, that include operettas and musicals.

Chancel Choir rehearses weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 - 9:30. Chancel Choir prepares two anthems to support and enhance Sunday worship services. Chancel Choir sings a variety of anthems that include Traditional, Gospel, Spirituals, and some Contemporary. Chancel Choir has presented major works including Requiems of John Rutter and Gabriel Faure, Magnificat of Pergolesi, Gloria of Vivaldi, Christmas Cantata of Pinkham.

Intergenerational Choir meets monthly and rehearses on the Sunday they sing. Intergenerational Choir gives those unable to make a commitment to Chancel Choir an opportunity to sing. Music selected is geared to be enjoyed by all ages and to be of a difficulty level that allows for preparation in a forty minute rehearsal.

We have wonderful singers in Children’s Choir who beautifully grace Sunday services at regular times.

We present Our Own Concerts that feature members of the RUCC congregation. These concerts can be of a Variety Show type, or can be a presentation of a special theme event. For example RUCC singers have presented Liebeslieder Waltzes by Brahms, a Magic Lantern Show, Free To Be You and Me, Amahi and the Night Visitors, as well as numerous Variety Shows.

Our Own Concerts are developed around the talent pool available at the time of consideration.

RUCC has a number of fine instrumentalists that present music as well. Beautiful sounds of strings, bells, woodwinds, and bells are occasionally heard in our sanctuary.

We are always happy to welcome new people to the Music Program at RUCC.
