[more]---Announcement: Lenten Book DiscussionThis is a book many of us read as teenagers. It is still assigned reading for many young people and celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2010. I challenged myself last summer to read it again and look at its theological themes. I must admit that this was kind of amusing because I don’t remember seeing any theological themes back in the 8th grade. What I found as I turned the pages was a story that is full of powerful themes and relationships. Its journey from dark to light seemed perfect for a Lenten journey. So, my challenge to you is to pick up a copy (I’ll have several available at church), and begin to read or re-read this amazing story. During Lent, everyone will be invited to gather and dig deeper into the themes of the story.---Update: Get Your Picture Taken
